Narayana Murthy Biography: N. Narayana Murthy is the founder and entrepreneur of the well-known software company Infosys Technologies. In the year 1981, Narayan Murthy, along with some of his friends, founded Infosys, which touched new heights of success in the field of software. He remained the Chief Executive Officer of Infosys from the year 1981 to 2002 and under his leadership made him equal to the few companies, whose death no one can even imagine.
Narayana Murthy not only became the leader of the Indian software industry, but also inspired Indian companies to achieve great heights abroad. He showed the whole world that if you are determined to do something with confidence and full dedication, then success will kiss your feet. Narayan Murthy put that confidence in Indian companies, which opened the doors of the whole world. Fortune magazine listed him among the 12 Greatest Entrepreneurs in the World and TIME magazine called him the father of the Indian IT industry. In view of his contribution to the country and society, the Government of India honored him with Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awards. Bollywood is planning to make a film on his life.
Infosys provides Business Consulting, Technology Engineering and Outsourcing Services. This is the first Indian company to be included in the list of NSDAQ. Infosys has given stocks worth about 50 thousand crores to its employees. Murthy is proud of this move and believes that employees should have a sense of ownership. After finishing his schooling, he earned a degree in Electric Engineering from the University of Mysore and M.Tech from IIT Kanpur. did | Narayan Murthy was the Chief Systems Programmer at IIM Ahmedabad before starting Infosys. After this he started a company called Softonics but this plan failed. After this he joined Patni Computer System in Pune. Narayana Murthy started Infosys in the year 1981 along with 6 other software professionals. He took 10,000 rupees from his wife Sudha Murthy to start the company.
